Part of that action was the dominance of the Sportsman classes by TRJ Performance / Torco Race Fuels team drivers. In the Sportsman buggy class Feng Vang sat on the pole for the A-main while team mate Drew Sheffield bumped from the B-main in a class that saw a G main. From the tone Feng pulled away and lead a good part of the race, while Drew slowly moved up threw the field. Once the 30 minute clock expired it was a one, two for Torco Race Fuels with Drew leading the way being followed by Feng.

 

Feng also took second in the Sportsman Truggy class, making it a very successful weekend. TRJ Performance would like to congratulate it's drivers on a great weekend, and would also like to thank all of it's customers or it's support in 2009. We look forward to an equally successful 2010.

Hobbystop now a TRJ Performance / TORCO retailer, TRJ crew gears up for SIC.

This week TRJ Performance is proud to welcome the Hobbystop in Rock Hill,NC as a TORCO retailer. Jim and his family have been a staple in the Charlotte area RC community for close to 20 years. The Rock Hill store is a full hobby shop offering parts and service for airplanes, helicopter and cars. It also features weekend racing with a high banked concrete oval, touring track and off road course.

The Southern Indoor Championship is looming about a week and a half away, and the TRJ crew will be heading down to Alabama to partake in what is becoming a fall tradition in the southeast. DJ Hepler, joins TRJ. Goodman moves to truggy.

This week TRJ brought King NC hotshoe DJ Hepler on board as our 5th team driver. The Hot Bodies team driver brings a level of determination and focus to the team that will undoubtly benefit this young team. DJ has one numerous races and titles at Carolina's RC indoor facility, and through out NC running his 1/8th buggy. We look forward to seeing DJ develop as a driver and creditable team mate.

In other news Carolina's RC employee and team mate Don Goodman made the switch to the Truggy class running a Mugen MBX6T. Even though Don run's a limited schedule he has always been a force to deal with at any rack he is running. Don's entry back into the Truggy ranks is welcome by both TRJ and competitors alike.

This week TRJ Performance has agreed to be a supporting sponsor for both the Sportsman buggy and truggy classes. TRJ will be supplying fuel for the winners of both classes, our friends at Carolina RC will be the title sponsors for those classes respectively. TRJ prepares for Rd.2 of the Ruler of the Valley series

After an extensive week of testing and a stellar effort by the TRJ/Torco crew at King's, Team TRJ/Torco now looks forward to round 2 of the ever popular Ruler of the Valley series at Nitro Valley Raceway. Round 2 will also offer up a big challenge for team manager/owner Tim Habiuk as he takes on his fellow team mate Don Goodman to settle a bet of sorts. Practice starts at 11am with racing starting at 3pm, and finishing under the lights at the Valley
